The Co-op is thoroughly engaged in the arts community and is thrilled to host several events throughout the year to showcase talent from emerging artists to established artists, from young to old.
Annual Revitalized Sculture Contest
March - April
What do skulls, dolls and used ribbons have in common? If you are anything like Laurie Langford who participated in 2016's Revitalized contest, these items are inspiration for unique works of art.
The Walkerville Artists’ Co-op is please to host Revitalized, a sculpture contest for emerging artists. Cash prizes of $300, $200 and $100 will be awarded at the closing reception.
Teen Art Show
April - May
To encourage young people to pursue creative endeavours in all fields of art. The exhibition is open to all teen from 12-18 years of age.
All mediums are accepted, including paintings, photography, sculptures, drawings, and textile art.
Visiting Artists Program
June - Sept
This program is open to all emerging artists, we encourage participation from diverse cultural groups, and often see artists working with various media. Showcasing these artists draws public attention to fresh artworks and the creative community is, we believe, richer for it.
