Revitalized Sculpture Contest

A Sculpture Contest for Emerging Artists


Windsor, ON February 15, 2019 –   What do skulls, dolls and used ribbons have in common? If you are anything like Laurie Langford who participated in our 2016 Revitalized contest, these items are inspiration for unique works of art.   

The Walkerville Artists’ Co-op is please to host once again Revitalized, a sculpture contest for emerging artists.  Cash prizes of $300, $200 and $100 will be awarded at the closing reception on April 14, 2019

WAC invites all emerging artists from Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent and Detroit to participate in this event.  Sculptures made in the last six months are eligible.  Works of art must be self-standing and fit a 12”x12”x24” space.  To participate, entrants are to submit 3 images of each work of art to by March 29, 2019.   A $15 non-refundable entry fee per item must be submitted with official entry form to WAC (available on our website, at WAC, or by email request), participants may submit up to 2 items.  Successful candidates will be notified by email to deliver artwork to WAC for final selection.  All works must be original and completed within the last six months.  


WAC is known for its annual Visiting Artist Program, Theater in the Gallery and is excited to bring once again this event to Windsor patrons.  Showcase opens April 1st and continues to April 14th.  Reception and awards presentation on April 14th at 2:00 p.m.
